Yes! Yes! Yes! When You Discover the Real Power behind Friday the 13th

For centuries, the question of power has been tied inextricably to money and currency. Yet, what if the truest form of power is not bound by banknotes or balances, but by alignment with the natural, sacred rhythms of the Universe? What if Friday the 13th—a date long feared and shrouded in superstition—is actually a hidden key to that very power?

Let’s dive deeper into the truth behind this date, uncover the numerological significance of 13, and explore why reclaiming it is essential - for all who yearn for abundance, justice, and freedom in a world aching for balance.

Reclaiming the Sacred Feminine Wisdom of Friday the 13th for optimum success

In popular culture, Friday the 13th has long been portrayed as ominous or unlucky. Horror movies, dark legends, and cultural taboos have contributed to a collective unease around this day. Yet, this is no ancient superstition—it’s a manufactured one.

Friday the 13th wasn’t always feared. In fact, it was once revered.

The root of this superstition can be traced back to patriarchal reconfigurations of time, power, and ritual. Long before monotheistic religions took hold, time was viewed cyclically, not linearly. Women gathered with the cycles of the moon. Communities honoured the Earth and the sacred feminine. And 13 was seen not as a number of misfortune, but of profound connection and creativity.

Friday, after all, was considered the day of the goddess.  Named for Freya (or Frigg), the Norse goddess of love, fertility, beauty, sex, war, and magic. She was the embodiment of abundance—both earthly and spiritual. And 13, the number of lunar cycles in a year, was her sacred number. Women have 13 menstrual cycles annually, and ancient priestesses often gathered in circles of 13 to perform rituals of healing, harvest, and prosperity. The number was celebrated as a symbol of life, fertility and cyclical power. Many ancient calendars, including the Hebrew, Babylonian and Mayan, were based on 13-month lunar years.

So how did something once so sacred become so feared?

From Sacred to Scapegoated: The Demotion of 13

To understand why the number 13 and Friday became targets of superstition, we must understand how power was consolidated.

As patriarchal structures and monotheistic religions began to spread across medieval Europe and beyond, anything associated with the feminine, the cyclical, or the magical was systematically demonised. Female deities were recast as witches or demons. Ancient rituals became heresies. Knowledge that empowered people to be in tune with the Earth was now condemned as pagan.

As patriarchal, monotheistic religions rose to dominance, particularly Christianity and Islam, there was a systematic effort to suppress matriarchal traditions and feminine spiritual practices.

The number 13, so intrinsically linked with feminine wisdom, became a threat.

So it was vilified.

As a Business Numerologist, bearing a variation of the goddess’s name, ‘Frea’ I was somewhat unnerved when recently visiting the 1000 year old All Saints Church in Helmsley, Yorkshire, UK. One of the walls of the church is dedicated to Aeilred, the Abbott, in 1147AD, of the Medieval Rievaulx Abbey. There he is depicted slaying a dragon carrying Freya, the Norse Goddess. What the Frigg?! Maybe I can take comfort with the vantage of the 21st century, because now the monastery lies in ruins and my namesake, appears to one of the most popular names for baby girls.

But…. in order to fully reclaim power, we must lean into the shadows of a fear that still prevails.

With the rise of Christianity, fear was planted where there was once reverence. Disconnection was encouraged where there was once harmony. The collective power of women, communities, and the land was fractured—replaced by hierarchical systems that privileged the few over the many.

Consider this pivotal historical moment: The Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Convened by Roman Emperor Constantine, the council formalised Christian doctrine and suppressed divergent spiritual beliefs.

Traditions like goddess worship and women in spiritual leadership were outlawed or rebranded as heretical. Christianity was enforced. The monopoly, (Mono, a prefix which means ‘one, only, single’) as spearheaded by an Emperor ruling an Empire stretching from York, a few miles from that church in Helmsley, UK to Constantinople, now Istanbul, Turkey.

And so Friday the 13th went from being a powerful portal of transformation to a feared date of misfortune.

But symbols can be reclaimed—and so can our stories.

The Numerology of 13: Creation in Action

In numerology, the number 13 is rich with meaning. Far from being unlucky, it contains the archetype of The Creatrix, a woman or goddess who is a creative force.

Let’s break it down:

  • 1 represents The Leader—initiative, originality, the power of new beginnings.

  • 3 represents The Empress—joy, creativity, self-expression, and expansion.

Together, 1 and 3 form 13, the frequency of bold, inspired creation. This number teaches us how to lead with heart, to build with purpose, and to express truth that benefits the collective.

13 is the sacred architecture of abundance.

It reminds us that we are not powerless participants in a pre-determined world—we are co-creators. But to access that power, we must be in right relationship with the feminine: with cycles, intuition, collaboration, and the Earth itself.

This is precisely why 13 was seen as dangerous. Because it empowers everyone—not just the ruling class or the chosen one.

In numerology, 13 is anything but unlucky.

Together, 1 + 3 = 4, which resonates with foundation, stability, and structured manifestation.

In the numerological framework, 13 is a transformational number. It represents the death of the old and the birth of the new. It asks us to rise above fear and create a new paradigm grounded in service, vision, and integrity.

In Tarot, the 13th card is Death—not literal death, but transformation and rebirth. It is a call to let go of what no longer serves in order to step into greater alignment.

Far from being cursed, 13 is a spiritual threshold. It marks the transition from the individual (1) creating beauty (3) to building systems (4) that uplift all.

Money and the Power of 13

Need proof that 13 still holds immense symbolic power today? Look no further than the US dollar, the Greenback.

On the back of the US dollar bill, a closer look reveals a deliberate numerological design. The Founding Fathers, despite establishing a patriarchal government, were well aware of the symbolic feminine potency of 13:

  • 13 stars above the eagle.

  • 13 stripes on the shield.

  • 13 arrows in the eagle’s talon.

  • 13 olive leaves and 13 olives in the other.

These are direct nods to the original 13 colonies, but more than that, they are an invocation of power through symbol. The pyramid on the reverse side contains 13 levels before reaching the all-seeing eye—another symbol of divine vision, mastery and the seal of approval for God’s greater plan.

Why would the designers of the dollar bill, that would become the global reserve currency, choose the number 13 repeatedly if it were an unlucky number?

Because power recognises power.

The architects of currency knew what they were doing. They encoded sacred geometry and numerology into the very fabric of what the world uses as money. And in doing so, they reinforced a fundamental truth: numbers carry energetic weight. Currency is not just economic—it's symbolic.

So if you’ve ever felt there’s a deeper game being played with money, symbols, and power—you’re right.

The key is not to fear these truths, but to wield them with integrity.

From Currency to Current: What Flows, Grows

The word currency shares a root with current. It’s not static. It’s not hoarded energy. It moves. And what moves, grows.

The way money behaves is entirely wild feminine. The way it is both fickle and loves order but can’t stand to be trapped. It wants to be contained but not held too tight. It acquires interest. Where there is interest it appreciates in value. Money loves attention. It thrives when it is respected, cherished, protected and valued. It wants to move and does not like to be stuck. If it’s rooted then it wants to be rooted in a place where it can flourish. If it’s growing then it’s not leaving.

Money is female energy in a container of masculine order.

I find it ironic that as a Numerologist, I started my career in financial service working in the Square Mile, The City, London.  An international financial power centre, built upon the Roman Temple of the Mother Goddess, Juno. When I worked there in the late 90s it was not lost on me that streets were lined with banks next to churches with stripper bars on the backstreets.

Even today, High Priests in money suits, with degrees in physics and rocket science can’t fully pin down this life generative force. Those steely skyscrapers containing the ever evolving financial instruments that circulate and expand money are always blindsided by her life generative and degenerative moves. The depressions. The booms. The shopping splurges. The rallying cries.

Money is a symbol of the value of creative and productive power. And with women being THE vessel of the life giving generative force, money is an abstract of ‘p***y power’ encased in a flimsy structure of masculine order. And like a bull, gently meandering through a field, …if there are too many red flags, too many abuses of the system, she’ll tear you down and expose all in a bear market.

In spiritual and energetic terms, money is simply a carrier of intention. When aligned with purpose, it can flow to uplift, to heal, to transform. But when disconnected from soul, it becomes a tool of control.

Feminine Power and Financial Flow

Money and the feminine are deeply connected. The feminine principle—whether in men or women—is the source of intuition, creativity, receptivity, and flow. When we’re cut off from it, we experience scarcity, burnout, and spiritual bankruptcy.

Reclaiming our feminine nature—particularly on Fridays and during cycles of 13—restores our ability to:

  • Receive with ease

  • Trust divine timing

  • Create with joy

  • Lead from wisdom

  • Embody abundance

Spiritual entrepreneurs, heart-led leaders, and conscious creators are now using numerology and sacred symbolism to align their income with their inner truth.

Money no longer needs to be a source of stress—it can be an expression of soul.

This is not about manifesting millions through “good vibes” alone. It’s about reclaiming ancient technologies of intentional creation, and re-infusing our business and financial practices with ritual, rhythm, and responsibility.

Circles of 13: Abundance Through Community

In ancient times, women gathered in sacred circles of 13 to seed intentions for their families, communities, and the Earth. These weren’t just social gatherings—they were energetic rituals. Together, these women amplified each other’s energy, healed one another, and co-created the abundance they needed to thrive.

Each woman stood for herself and for the collective. One for All. All for One.

This model stands in stark contrast to today’s rugged individualism. In truth, the most sustainable success is never solo—it’s collective. Whether in business, family, activism, or healing, shared intention accelerates manifestation.

When 13 women come together in mutual respect, aligned purpose, and shared vision, their power multiplies exponentially. These gatherings reflect a core truth: collective feminine energy is a force multiplier.

When each woman contributes her energy, wisdom and vision, together the circle amplifies intention into manifestation. This is not folklore – it’s energetic science. When a group of individuals focuses on the same frequency, that vibration magnifies and affects the quantum field.

It’s time we reawaken that principle in our world.

You don’t need to gather around a literal fire (though it helps). But you can start seeing your clients, your team, your family, and even your audience as a sacred circle. A field of co-creation. An energy system.

In such a space, abundance is not extracted—it’s generated.

Shifting our relationship with money from scarcity to sovereignty

It’s time to align with the natural currents of creation.

This means:

  • Working with your cycles, not against them.

  • Creating from joy, not from burnout.

  • Sharing from overflow, not depletion.

  • Leading from service, not ego.

Which brings us right back to Friday. The day of rest. Of pleasure. Of unwinding. A weekly invitation to release the stress of linear time and reconnect with the sensual, spiritual current of being.

Friday, the day of Freya, reminds us: What we appreciate, appreciates. What we love, grows.

So when you take time to enjoy a long bath, a beautiful meal, a conversation with someone you love—you are aligning with a frequency of abundance.

In that relaxed, open state, inspiration flows. Insight emerges. Power returns.

With Power Comes Responsibility

The beauty of reclaiming your power—whether through money, voice, vision, or ritual—is that it always comes with responsibility.

Real power is not dominance. It is stewardship.

It asks us to:

  • Lead with love.

  • Create with care.

  • Influence with integrity.

  • Serve with soul.

This is the true meaning of currency as power. Not to control others, but to empower them. Not to take more, but to circulate more. Not to climb the ladder alone, but to lift others as we rise.

Friday the 13th is a beautiful reminder of this. A day to realign with what matters. A portal to greater intuition, receptivity, and sovereignty.
